Licensing Class: Robert (KE0TTL) said that he had talked to the peop0le who run the Camdenton School system’s adult education classes. They said we could use their facilities and would advertise our class in their fall Upcoming Classes publication if we would get the information to them no later than late May. The publication goes out in late August and the classes are held in September. Glenn agreed to get the advertising used by the Bend, OR ARC for our plagiarism.
We don’t need instructors but rather just people to help organize the class and be there to help people as they study the provided materials. When asked who would be willing to devote a Saturday for this event, there were six people who raised their hands. It was also pointed out that once people pass their Tech exam, we will need to have “Elmers”, people willing to make themselves available to help newly licensed people and several people said they would help.
Eatin’ Meetin’ Changes: It was decided to leave the Eatin’ Meetin’s as they are on Fridays at 11:30, however, there was interest in adding a Saturday luncheon for those who work and can’t make the Friday luncheon. Larry has asked that t hose who would come to a Saturday luncheon contact him by email. [email protected]
Bylaw Changes: The Bylaws were presented with a somewhat better definition of “quorum” and were passed by a majority of those voting. They will be published soon.
