OLD BUSINESS:  Dale Bland KEØYFL gave an update on the status of the DMR repeater to be placed at Station 2 in Greenview.  The Assistant Chief of Mid-County Fire Protection District, was to present to the board for approval tonight.  Dale had spoken to one of the board members and they had no issues with it.  It is not known if it was discussed at the board meeting tonight or not.  Dale Bland will check on the status of our request.

Field Day planning was discussed.  Ron Campbell AEØJA is asking for operators and that it has been hard to get a hold of people to put on the list.  Fred Groce KØFG and Steve Frakes KAØSF will be doing CW.  The press coverage has been good.  Steve Eden KØSRE will be doing a radio interview on June 22 at 10:10 am on KRMS 97.5.  There was an ad last week that was an excellent write up.  Jack McGuire WJØTM has posted on the webpage.  Field Day is also listed in the Lake Sun calendar.  There will be three laptops for logging.  There are small fans for each tent and the trailer can be used as a cooling station.  Antennae were discussed.  What you need to bring to field day was discussed.  Generators and radios were discussed.  There are sheets in boxes for members to distribute to advertise the event and bring in the public.  Ron Campbell AEØJA said that we need to advertise to attract younger people.  Steve Bouck KDØSB discussed the food for Saturday night.  Food will be made by The Tavern Smokehouse since it is close to the site.  There will be brisket, pulled pork and turkey.  There will also be baked beans, cole slaw and mac and cheese as sides.  Members should bring desserts.  The cost will be around $10 per person.  Dale Bland KEØYFL made a motion to have the club pay for the food and seconded by Steve Frakes KAØSF.  Motion passed.  Larry Cicchinelli K3PTO will provide lunch from McDonald’s.

NEW BUSINESS:  Removing the antenna and coax from the tower at the Clubhouse was discussed.  Larry Cicchinelli K3PTO was waiting for permission to put up the DMR repeater before taking down the antenna and coax.  A place to store it would be needed.  Fred GroceKØFG said that it would be worth it to save the coax.  A company who is bonded and insured would be needed to remove it from the tower and also needed to install the DMR repeater.  Several possibilities were discussed and need to be checked out before our next meeting.

Sickness and Injuries:  There was none.

Ham Equipment for sale or swap:  Larry Cicchinelli K3PTO has an 80 foot Rhon, self-supporting, tower from Dave Chase for sale and 813 tubes from the widow of another ham available if anyone is interested.  Fred GroceKØFG has a Elecraft K3 and top of the line headsets that belonged to Ray Myers.

Announcements:  Larry Cicchinelli K3PTO gave a very interesting Spectrum Analyzer training session before the business meeting.  The Eating Meeting this Friday and the next will be at The Tavern Smokehouse in Camdenton.  Please be there before 11:30 am.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 pm.

Respectively submitted,
Dale Bland, KEØYFL
