The Lake of the Ozarks Amateur Radio Club has recently had lessons on Transistors-Types And Applications,, and Transistors- Practical Applications, on February 14, 2024, and March 13,2024
We are currently discussing content for future lessons and, or projects. Currently, our lessons are being held on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:15pm-7:00 at the Mid.County Fire Department, Second Floor Classroom, followed by our regular monthly meeting.
We will post information on future lessons, or projects as soon as possible.
Field Day Preparations are Underway We want to say Thank You! to Travis Brock and the City of Camdenton, for allowing us to set up this years Field Day operations at Camdenton City Park. All of their help is very much appreciated.
We are making preparations for our 2024 Field Day, which will be held on June 22, 9:00am through June 23, at approximately 2:00pm. This includes the setup and take down times The main objectives of Field Day, are to demonstrate Emergency Operations in adverse conditions, Off Grid, for a period of 24 hours. Our second objective is every bit equal to the first, and that is to do this in a Public Location, to Present Amateur Ham Radio to the General Public and to give them an opportunity to Learn More about the Hobby, and to Participate in Operations.
All are welcome. Children accompanied by parents or guardians are welcome to operate one of our stations, making contacts, and just enjoy the activities. There is no age limit on obtaining a license.
